From February 2011, the new sensorProbe8 PoE-version is available. Here the power of the sensorProbe8-PoE is supplied via the Power over Ethernet 802.3 standard. Please note that you need for sensorProbe8-PoE model an PoE-enabled network switch or a PoE injector. The power supply via PoE (Power over Ethernet) provides in difficult infrastructure, where no 220V power supply is available, specific benefits. Since the sensorProbe8 PoE is equipped with an external power supply, the power supply can serve as a backup power.

The AKCP sensorProbe8-PoE is a high speed, accurate and intelligent monitoring device. The SP8-PoE is a completely embedded host with a proprietary Linux like Operating System, including TCP/IP stack, Web server, email and full SNMP functionality. SMS notifications can be sent via a 3rd party email-to-SMS gateway.
The new feature in AKCP sensorProbe8-PoE is, the integration with a single chip relative humidity and temperature multi sensor module comprising a calibrated digital output. The sensor includes a capacitive polymer sensing element for relative humidity and a bandgap temperature sensor. Both are seamlessly coupled to a 14bit analog to digital converter and a serial interface circuit on the same chip. This results in superior signal quality, a fast response time and insensitivity to external disturbances (EMC). By having both temperature & humidity sensors in a single sensor, the AKCP sensorProbe8-PoE can have up to a maximum of 8 temperature & 8 humidity sensors. This extends the capability of the AKCP sensorProbe8-PoE to maximum of 16 sensing parameters.
Our Digital Voltage interface allow us to add external sensors such as a gas sensor, flow sensor, pressure transducers etc. The data for this is collected and graphed using the internal memory of the AKCP sensorProbe8-PoE.

SP8-PoE system logging records every event in it’s embedded database, you can see a time stamp of when the sensor alarm was raised and the action taken place. Download this using our utility to prepare a QoS report.
